Advance booking for Garden Kingdom Summer
This summer, the public can look forward to an unrestricted Garden Kingdom Summer with many formats and a top-class artistic program. Gardens and castles are once again unique venues for concerts, theater performances and musical-literary specialties. The selected programs offer sophisticated entertainment from May to September in the best sense of the word. In 2000, the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status and thus also received international recognition.
All three cooperation partners – the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, the Cultural Foundation Dessau-Wörlitz and the Ringhotel “Zum Stein” Wörlitz – wish their guests joy, pleasure and relaxation at the “Festival of the Senses”.
Tickets for all special events are now available at all advance booking offices of the Anhaltisches Theater, on the Internet at www.anhaltisches-theater.de and at the box office. Detailed information on all events, information on the meeting points, the departure of the gondolas, weather information, on the possible occurrence of the oak processionary moth, access models, hygiene regulations are listed on the website of the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau too.
Castle concerts
The castles of the Garden Kingdom provide a setting as festive as it is intimate for extraordinary musical programs with renowned artists.
The Garden Kingdom Summer will open on May 15, 2022 at 5 p.m. with the concert “Lifelines” at Wörlitz Castle. Prof. Ragna Schirmer will play works by Georg Friedrich Händel, Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Xaver Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven on the historic fortepiano.
Two more palace concerts will take place at Mosigkau Palace on August 26, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. with a Mendelssohn-Bartholdy program and on September 11, 2022 at 5 p.m. with the Anhalt String Quartet and Alexander Koryakin at the piano.
Lake Concerts
One of the classics among the events are the Lake Concerts: the tried and tested triad of a gondola ride across the lakes and canals of Wörlitz Park, a sumptuous dinner with drinks on the gondolas and a concert at the most beautiful spots in the park, which visitors listen to from the water. A total of eleven very different concerts are on the program.
Price (incl. a glass of sparkling wine as a welcome drink): 72,- Euro per person

Wandelkonzerte
For visitors who not only want to experience music in the park of the Garden Kingdom, but also want to learn interesting facts about the places during a short walk, the Garden Kingdom Summer offers “Wandelkonzerte”. These will take place this summer in the Oranienbaum Palace Park and in the Luisium Park. Divided into three small groups, an employee of the Kulturstiftung Dessau-Wörlitz leads the groups through the respective park. Musicians from the Anhalt Philharmonic Orchestra Dessau will be waiting for them at various points with a short program. The tour ends with a coffee table and concert in front of the orangeries.
Coffee concerts
This year, the popular coffee concerts with two different programs will take place at different locations: in the Citrus Garden at the Orangery in the Oranienbaum Palace Park and in front of the Orangery in the Luisium Park. Visitors can expect entertaining programs with coffee and cake in an idyllic atmosphere.
