In the last two years, Roßlau was also unable to celebrate the traditional Heimat- und Schifferfest as usual. This year, the city is all the more pleased to welcome locals and guests to the three-day festival.

On Friday, August 26, at 5 p.m., the flags will be hoisted at Luchplatz under the motto “Allee der Elbstädter” before the official opening of the event by the skippers at the bridgehead. The marching band accompanies the guests from there to the marquee, where the mayor of the town welcomes them and taps the keg.

Now it is time for three days of celebrating, dancing and enjoying the hustle and bustle of the town.

Between farmer’s market and harbor tours, there are great program points and something for every taste, before the march out with the boatmen, the local council and all guests ends the festival on Sunday at 4:30 pm.
