Guests become tree donors
With a new campaign, the Stadtmarketinggesellschaft is making a contribution to climate protection: for every travel arrangement booked, the Stadtmarketinggesellschaft donates a tree to the Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald Sachsen-Anhalt e. V. (SDW). In autumn, the SDW will plant new trees in the region from the collected donations.
“The topic of sustainability has been on our minds at the Tourist Information for a long time,” says Franziska Staudte, head of the Tourist Information in Dessau and Roßlau. “We try to make our daily work more sustainable and resource-saving in many ways. The tree donation for booked travel arrangements is another building block on our way to sustainable business”.
The tree donation is added to the travel arrangement at no extra cost to the guests when booking. Upon request, guests will also receive a certificate of donation and can plant their tree themselves.
The new campaign will be actively communicated by the city marketing company, also in the hope of inspiring other companies to participate. At the next SDW tree planting campaign, the team of the city marketing company will be on site to plant as many trees as possible and perhaps also to welcome one or two guests again.
