Road closures due to control of the oak processionary moth

From approximately the end of April to the end of May 2022, aerial control of the oak processionary moth will take place on the territory of the city of Dessau-Roßlau.

The larvae will be controlled by applying a biocide from a helicopter. This mainly affects the forests and solitary trees in the area of the floodplains of the Elbe and Mulde rivers. Please be prepared for short-term road closures. The flight dates depend on leaf growth and weather conditions and can therefore only be fixed at very short notice.

Prior to the aerial survey and until the end of the impact period, the affected main paths will be closed off and marked with warning signs.

The biocide is used exclusively for the purpose of controlling EPS as a preventive health protection measure for the population. Nevertheless, this agent is an

The roadside sidewalk and bike path on the B185 eastbound from the junction Wasserstadt is closed with immediate effect. Pedestrians and cyclists must use the roadway.

It is strongly recommended to cover your skin with long clothing in oak areas.
