On September 3 and 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Dessau Zoo will be holding its big zoo festival, this time under the motto “Health and Nutrition”. Giant slide, bouncy castle and co. will make children’s hearts beat faster. The AOK-Sachsen-Anhalt, dm-Drogeriemarkt, AktiVital Dessau and UNICEF Dessau-Roßlau will also be present, offering playful presentations on the theme of “Health and Nutrition”. The zoo will also be offering free themed tours of the Dessau Zoo several times a day (11/13/16).
A special highlight is the exclusive look into the feed kitchen. Also this year there will be a colorful stage program.
On Saturday and also Sunday, Dessau clubs and artists will present and demonstrate their talents. Twice a day, the zoo keepers will present an interesting animal species on stage.
The support association “Tierparkfreunde Dessau e.V.” has a quiz worth knowing about the zoo in addition to its sales booth with zoo souvenirs in the program. On both days, the draw will take place at 4:45 p.m. on the stage. In addition to many material prizes and vouchers, there are also annual passes for the Dessau Zoo to be won. The Mausoleum will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. The Jugendbauhütte is looking forward to many curious visitors. For the physical well-being was also provided. With Bratwurst, soup and Co. each belly is guaranteed pleasantly filled. Those who like it rather sweet can enjoy a cup of regional coffee, a waffle on a stick or a delicious ice cream. For annual pass holders, there is an express entrance at Gate 1, the night exit of the zoo. So an annual pass is definitely worth it. Due to the current Corona situation, it is compulsory to wear mouth/nose protection in all buildings (terrarium, cowshed and the sanitary facilities).
