The countdown starts

This year the time has finally come: from 30.06. to 02.07. the city of Dessau-Roßlau will celebrate a new city festival for three days. It will be a festival that has never existed in this form before with a program for the whole family. “We will show the beauty and versatility of our city, a city full of life, joy and community spirit,” says a delighted Lord Mayor Dr. Robert Reck as patron of the festival.

“A few days before the city festival, the excitement is naturally rising for us as well,” says Stadtwerke Managing Director Dino Höll. “We are very pleased to organize one of the central focal points of the festival with the main stage on the market square.
It is not only a podium for the stars of the evening stage parties, but also a platform for our Dessau-Roßlau clubs that have taken part in the “Vereinsheld 2023” campaign. It is precisely this mix that makes the program so attractive and also reflects the city festival motto: “A festival in the heart of Anhalt with a program full of joie de vivre for the whole family – organized by and with those who are passionately committed to the
quality of life locally!”

The town festival also offers a wide range of entertainment in
the entire city center and completely free of charge for everyone. Exciting attractions, from colorful carousels on the fairground to medieval customs, arts and crafts and culinary delights. The varied

The highlights are:
– Stage program on the market square with Julius König, Chanson Trottoir, Nightfever, Christoph Sakwerda, Alexander Eder, Lotte, SPIELBERG,
Schlagermix, Anna-Carina Woitschack, Ventura Fox
– Sports and family day of the Stadtwerke on Saturday at the market place
– Stage program in the city park with Hot Music, Panamena Son & Salsa
– Club presentations & Anhalt mile, baby exchange & flea market in the city park
– Street of economy in the Ratsgasse
– Fun fair in front of the Johannbau
– Medieval market at the Schloßplatz
– Floorball with Street Tour Floorball in front of the Bauhaus Museum
– Sunday open to the public

It should be noted that there may be restrictions on road traffic throughout the city center during the city festival. The following streets are closed: Zerbster Straße (entrance to the Rathaus-Center is free),
Kavalierstraße from the museum crossing to the post office, Schloßstraße. The best way for visitors to get to the Dessau City Festival is by public transport.
