24th International Athletics Meeting

Next week it will be time again.

For the 24th time, the international athletics meeting invites you to the Paul Grifzu Stadium in Dessau.

Once again, almost 200 national and international athletes from all over the world are expected to compete in various disciplines such as javelin throw, long jump and sprint.

In addition to the amateur athletes, the participants will of course also include the top athletes in their field. And so Johannes Vetter will compete in the javelin throw and Malaika Mihambo in the long jump again this year.

It already starts in the afternoon with the youngsters from the city of Dessau and from Saxony-Anhalt. The finals of the school competition ‘Anhalt is looking for the super sprinter’ will be held here, shortening the waiting time until the actual competitions start at 6:30 pm.

Tickets are still available at the tourist information offices in Dessau and Roßlau. The almost 15,000 standing places in the stadium are free of charge for all sports fans. It’s worth going in any case.
