A day full of culture in Dessau city centre
Culture is the heart of a vibrant city. It brings people together, creates encounters and makes life in the city centre attractive and liveable for both residents and visitors. This is precisely the attitude to life that ‘KulTour’ wants to bring to Dessau city centre again this year – for the third time!
On 20 September 2025, the centre of Dessau will be transformed into a large cultural mile. Under the motto ‘See, marvel, listen, stroll, enjoy, participate’, visitors can expect a varied programme that presents the diversity of Dessau’s cultural scene in all its facets.
Whether music, theatre, art, dance, readings or hands-on activities – on this day, the city centre will become a stage for creativity and encounters. Numerous actors, associations and initiatives have joined forces to bring the whole spectrum of cultural offerings to life.
Anyone who feels like it can stroll leisurely through the streets, discover new things, be inspired and spend a special day in the city centre with family, friends, neighbours or acquaintances.
KulTour invites you not only to watch, but also to participate. The city centre becomes a place of participation where you can get actively involved, be creative and engage in conversation with others. Culinary delights, street art and many little surprises add to the atmospheric ambience.
The event aims to send a message: culture belongs at the heart of the city. It enlivens the streets and squares, creates atmosphere and makes Dessau a lovable place for all generations.
