Advance ticket sales for the Kurt Weill Festival 2026
On Monday, November 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., the official advance ticket sales for all events of the Kurt Weill Festival 2026 will begin.
The festival, which will take place from February 27 to March 15, 2026, under the motto “IN MOTION,” celebrates a diversity of the arts in its 34th season. Visitors can look forward to 74 events with over 600 artists at 21 venues.
The motto “IN MOTION” reflects Kurt Weill’s life, which was marked by geographical and artistic movement. Both the literal and figurative aspects of movement can be experienced in the festival’s diverse program.
Actresses, musicians, dancers, authors, orchestras, and ensembles of all kinds will take to the stage. Highlights include jazz pianist Joja Wendt, trombonist Nils Landgren, actress Katharina Thalbach, bestselling author David Safier, songwriter Klaus Hoffmann, the duo Goldmeister, the Schönherz & Fleer Rilke Project with Dietmar Bär, sound artist SCHILLER, the Flying Steps, and many more.
In addition to concerts, the festival also offers dance, readings, guided tours, exhibitions, workshops, the traditional family concert, children’s projects, parties, and more, so there is something for everyone.
The special experience is enhanced by unusual venues. Well-known locations such as the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau and the DB FZI Dessau maintenance facility are complemented by new locations: the Reinicke carpentry workshop, a large excavator in the “city of iron” Ferropolis, the Dessau Golf Park, the Simonetti House in Coswig with its historic stucco, and the Logenhaus Dessau.

at the tourist information offices in Dessau and Roßlau, or at the box office of the Anhaltisches Theater.
