On Sunday, February 15, 2026, Dessau’s city center will once again be transformed into a colorful carnival stronghold when the 27th carnival parade winds its way through Dessau-Roßlau. Numerous carnival clubs, groups, and enthusiastic participants will present themselves in imaginative costumes, festively decorated floats, music, and a lively atmosphere, providing a colorful spectacle for young and old alike. The traditional parade is organized by the city of Dessau-Roßlau in close cooperation with the 1st Great Dessau Carnival Society Yellow/Red of 1854, the Waldeser Carnival Club Dessau, the Central German Carnival Club, and the Roßlau Carnival Club.

The parade route runs from Friedhofstraße via Franzstraße, Kavalierstraße, Poststraße, and Zerbster Straße to the market square. There, visitors can enjoy a wide range of culinary delights and a musical finale that brings the parade to an atmospheric close. The city of Dessau-Roßlau is looking forward to welcoming many guests and to a cheerful, peaceful carnival day. Interested groups can register online until January 31, 2025. Due to the parade, roads in the city center will be closed between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., but pedestrian access will remain guaranteed; changes to public transportation are possible.
